Elbare, MBA, CFP, founder of Florida Philanthropic Advisors, LLC, has over
30 years of experience in non-profit management and fund raising. He has
specialized in major and planned gift fund raising for the last 20 years,
serving as a major gift officer and planned giving director for the
University of South Florida, as CEO for two fund raising foundations, as a
financial planner and as a Consultant for charities and donors. |

John is a
frequent lecturer on planned giving and estate planning topics. He has
taught at the University of South
Florida and the University at Sea,
lecturing on various aspects of charitable, financial and estate planning
for both professional and lay audiences. John also serves on the Editorial Board
of PG-Mentor. |

John
is a Past-President of the Suncoast Chapter of the Association of
Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of
Tampa Bay and the Tampa Bay Area
Planned Giving Council and the Suncoast Chapter of AFP. He holds the
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license, earned the CFRE designation in
1992, and served as inaugural Co-Chair of the Tampa Bay Leave A Legacy
campaign.
